Back Again!

Hello Everyone!

We just finished up a very successful Beginner Workshop Series. It was great to see the smiling and the enjoyment in the students' faces. I am looking forward to beginning Fall classes with these new students.

In the classes, they discovered that Irish dancing is an engaging activity that challenges the body and the brain! Beginner classes are some of my favorite to teach as they are the first steps towards unlocking the joy that dance can bring to your life. Dancing is fun, challenging, and rewarding when you complete a step correctly for the first time.

Seeing beginners start to dance makes a dance teacher start to imagine his or her own days as a student. It calls to mind the necessity of clear explanations, helpful reminders, and patience. I'm looking forward to a great year! The enthusiasm I saw over the last few weeks will carry us far.

A big, "Welcome!" to my new students and a, "Welcome back!" to my returning students!

-John
